Dear Readers:

I wish all of you a very “Happy Thanksgiving!”

There is so much to be thankful for in spite of the difficulties we face with the health of our river, as well as our nation and the world. This week, I will be taking a blog break in order  to “take time to be grateful.” Tomorrow is my husband’s birthday and of course Thursday is Thanksgiving, a time to spend with family and friends. Before I break, I thought you might enjoy this photo of a wild turkey that flew over the St Lucie River to rest in Sewall’s Point. She appears to be  feeling rather grateful to be taking such a nice rest right under the American flag…See you next week.

Fondly,

Jacqui

  4. Using a star wars medafor— I hope you will come over from the dark side and see what I have been telling you is the truth—supported by hard facts. The only special interest groups I represent are ALL the creatures in the lagoon(and ocean) who depend on their environment returning to the way it was for thousands of years (before our generation destroyed it)

  5. Many ,many miles of mullet on both sides of the lagoon. I am sure these guys must produce massive amounts of ammonia and HCL from their pee and poop but the are all happy and healthy in an oxygen rich environment. White pelicans are wondering where are the menhaden minnows .They wont have long to wait. Their should be no doubt as to what has destroyed the lagoon and YOU should also know exactly how to fix it to how it was 100 years ago. To do nothing after being armed with this information should be a crime.
