I have always looked to Nature for inspiration and “regeneration.” A short walk in my yard, my neighborhood, or over the bridge almost always brings positive results.
Today, I wanted to share photos from a recent outing where I unexpectedly came upon a multitude of nine-armed starfish at Stuart Causeway, St Lucie River, Indian River Lagoon. I had not seen them for many years during the almost decade of discharges from area canals and especially Lake Okeechobee. To see these striking creatures once again is a very good sign for the recovery of our waterways! And how cool is it that when they lose an arm they can regenerate?

Thanks for sharing these great pictures. They show the beauty of nature and they have a calming effect in the most disturbing time in most of our lives. Nature can be restored and that gives us hope that society can quickly be restored from this pandemic disruption.

Yesterday( at allmost noon)me and my friend were putting in irragation on one end of our property. All of the sudden chickens set off their alarm call(just 30 foot away). I knew something bad had happened. Grabbed my gun leaning on a tree . Me, dog and friend were going to go get back our chicken. Dog trailed it no less than 50 yards away and no more than 30 seconds behind. It was Blacky.. Our beutifull jet black 10 pound rooster.
As a person representing the people of Florida—the next time there is a shark attack I hope you will go to hospital and see first hand the horror of what theses creatures can do.
