Mr Nathaniel Reed’s Flowers ~La Florida

On December 8, 2018, I attended beloved environmentalist Mr Nathaniel of P. Reed’shttp://nathanielpreed.blogspot.com/?m=1 memorial service held at the Hobe Sound Bible Church. It was a wonderful gathering for an unforgettable man who is an example for us all on how to best protect our treasured Florida.

After the service, I walked back into the church to say my own private prayer for Mr Reed.  It was so peaceful; and the flowers were the most beautiful I had ever seen. A true “La Florida.” I share my photos today. Mr Reed’s spirit lives on in all of us who fight for Florida and our St Lucie River/Indian River Lagoon.

Mr Reed kept fishing journals his entire life. The family shared extras at the memorial.

  1. In the bible— when King David died his son Solimon was given power He did not ask God to be rich or live a long life—instead he asked God for wisdom so he could make good decisions for his people. One of his first cases in his court was 2 women fighting over coustidy of a child. King Solimon said for the guards to cut the child in half so both women could have half. One woman (probably) said cut the child in half and now she will finaly be happy. The other woman said NO do not harm the child–I lied the child is hers. I am sure she said this knowing she was faceing the horrific wrath of the king. King Solimon said give the child to the woman who said spare the childs life—the child is hers. Every black bear that runs wild is going to face an army of farmers armed with high poweredd rifles –with the stand your ground law— who are going to have to protect their domesticated animals. Who really cares about the lives of the black bear. Those who want them to run wild or those who want them to live in controled(protected) environments.
