Changing times…
Saber-toothed cat skeletons have been found near Ft Meyers, across the state, and in Clewiston, just south of present day Lake Okeechobee. I would imagine a few of these giant canines made it over here to the ancient Indian River Lagoon Region…Wouldn’t you?

Thanks for letting me share my point of view even though I am sure it is very different than many other peoples. I looked in my photo album and there is a picture in a news paper clipping of a man holding up a bag of green algie and pointing his finger. The name plate under him said Mark Perry. I would like to tell him if you dried out that bag of green algie and poured viniger on it you would see it foams up. It grows on calcium and is not poisonous but it is the “milk” of the lagoon and every creature depends on it. —have fun.
